Traditional Living Space
Welcome!! I am so excited to be bringing you something I have wanted to from the very beginning….options to shop the look!! These looks will be items that are affordable, and similar to designs I have put together for my stage jobs! I will also be including some design tips and tricks that I like to share with clients when it comes to interiors and/or home staging!
When it comes to home decor, I am a firm believer in the quote, “Be faithful to your own taste, because nothing you really like is ever out of style.” I believe your home should be a reflection of you, and your personality, and the life you live! Whether that be coastal or mountain living, or electic taste in art and jewelry, your home is YOU!
What I get to do is help sellers create a living space that will appeal to as many buyers as possible, in the demographic of who might purchase their home. I am blessed and thankful and grateful I get to do this everyday! I have had multiple requests for interiors services, and wanted to bring that option to you, the consumer!
In each blog post, I will share items that are either the exact items I used, or if certain items aren’t available anymore, I will post a similar link to an almost exact match.
I had the privilege to stage a home in a local community, Stone Creek, in Fairhope, AL. This home had been sitting on the market for 9 months with stale activity. I staged the home on a Friday, and by Monday, the seller had 3 showings and a contract! I LOVE it for my clients when staging works so quickly for them! It’s a WIN WIN situation in my book!
This home had a beautiful, open living space, and it made it difficult for buyers to visualize how large the space actually was! I love using neutral pieces, with pops of color and texture to give the space some life! I’m a big believer in buying neutral staple pieces, like upholstered furniture, and large furniture pieces, like beds, tables, and cabinets. Keeping a neutral palette lightens up a space while simply adding warmth through fabric, textures, and color.
I always have hesitation when putting a room together the day before a stage job, because I don’t get to actually see it in the space until the day of! Up until then, I am just using my resources and eyeing it, to make sure each piece fits well together! I wasn’t sure if this sofa was actually going to fit the space, or if this coffee table would be too bulky for the open space between the sofa and fireplace, but it all worked out perfectly!
I loved how traditional, yet modern, this space turned out. I love how cozy the space is, despite being open floor plan! Check out the link below to “shop the look”.
